I get a reaction to poison ivy…do we ban that too?

My grandpa died of alcohol, will we ban it? People are allergic to nuts, do we ban it? My great grandfather committed suicide from a gun…do we ban guns? No. There are irresponsible people in the world who will abuse ANYTHING (food, alcohol, sofa cushioning, milk) . This is what regulation is for, yes? Again, with less than 100 deaths from kratom abuse (way, way less than a lot of things that are readily available), why would you schedule it? The FDA has been unable to prove it’s harmful enough to schedule or ban, have been caught lying, and simply are ignorant because they choose not to regulate or do studies.
The nasty ingredients in our food have given me an IBD, but we will never ban those chemicals. Let’s focus on that and how colon cancer is alarmingly on the rise due to our food. This hyper focus on an herb is embarrassing.
