A Nurse's Story

Dear Regulatory Body,

As a former nurse, I have witnessed the devastating effects of substance abuse disorder both in clinical settings and within my own circle. Kratom is not part of the problem; in fact, it has been a life-changing solution for many.

I personally suffer from Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Lupus, and Fibromyalgia, all of which cause intractable debilitating pain. I diligently followed doctors' recommendations, yet their prescribed medications and the side effects left me nearly bedridden and contributed to weight gain ballooning my already disabled body to 300 pounds.

Discovering kratom in 2018 has been a godsend. Instead of taking nearly 20 prescribed medications, I now consume a very small amount of kratom once or twice daily. This change has allowed me to regain control of my life, and my children have their mom back.

Since incorporating kratom into my daily routine, I have successfully weaned off the harmful pharmaceutical cocktail and lost over 150 pounds. My health has significantly improved, with lab results returning to normal and my blood pressure no longer elevated. Most importantly, my pain has decreased from an unbearable 10 to a manageable 2 when consuming kratom.

I urge you not to believe the misinformation surrounding kratom and listen to the science, as this plant has genuinely saved lives, including mine.

Sincerely,

Christen Granger, PN
