We strongly endorse making last year's temporary abortion clinic regulations permanent. If a woman has a D&C (dilation and curritage), SHE HAS TO GO TO A HOSPITAL AND BE ANESTHETISED. An abortion, wholly aside from the morality of it, is a much more serious medical procedure that runs the same risks of damage, infection, and other side effects a D&C exposes a woman to. The failure to require hospital level protections, procedures and inspetions clearly endangers women's health. The regulations must be made permanent to protect women.
