After seeing the results in Pennsylvania of a lack of strong regulations on abortion clinics (the Gosnell horrors), I believe it is only common sense to strictly regulate the practice here in Virginia. While I do not believe abortion should be allowed at all (in part since medical science tells us that the developing child is most certainly a human being, and all human beings have a right to life under the Constitution), since it is an unfortunate fact of life here in Virginia, at least we can provide a measure of safety for women by making permanent the current strong regulations of the practice. Please respect the recommendations made by the Virginia Board of Health when they enacted these regulations by a 12-1 vote by keeping the clinic regulations in place.
