. . . it's a law, not an executive order. So the governor will not only be overstepping his legal and constitutional authority if he overturns it, he'll be going against the wishes of most Virginians -- and those wishes have been made very clear to him. It was my understanding that a state's governor was supposed to be responsive to the majority and to also do what's best for the state and its resources and citizens, overall. Apparently Mr. Youngkin didn't get the memo. He seems only interested in doing whatever stunt will elevate his own political profile and presidential hopes, in some circles. But that's not what Virginians elected him to concentrate on.
