Leaving RGGI would be a colossal disaster. Climate change is a threat to every American as we can see from this year's horrific and deadly heat waves. RGGI is an excellent way for our state to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming. RGGI has shown to be extremely effective at its purpose. In just two year's Virginia's power plant emissions have dropped 16% and most of the funds raised from the auctions go towards lower-income people who have traditionally borne the brunt of the impacts of climate change. We need to stay in RGGI and stop this ridiculous attempt to leave the program.
