Virginia must not withdraw from RGGI

Virginia must not withdraw from RGGI.  Environmental laws cannot be disregarded or weakened especially now that our country and our world is severely impacted by climate change and allowing air quality to be diminished will have severe consequences.  Not only that but the health of many, especially children with asthma, will be impacted as well as communities of color which always get the brunt of environmental degradation.  Additionally it is highly disturbing that our governor who has no regard for environmental impacts should have the power to do this.  I believe it is in violation of his powers. The General Assembly may have that power but not the governor.  I believe the majority of Virginians do not want our air quality diminished by leaving RGGI.  I hope that our comments are heard.  In these times it is distressing to feel that our government isn’t listening.  Please do not let that happen now.
