People in the U.S. are already voluntarily conserving energy on their own. Most of our vehicles are  twice  as efficient as they were in the 60's. and the furnaces in most homes are 90% efficient. although some people are buying electric cars, people who live in the temperate parts of the country are having difficulty operating a electric vehicle during the winter due to the cold. Maybe in 5-10 years this problem will be solved. Don't let these organizations shut down your coal and gas powered electric utilities or you are going to suffer frozen pipes (which are very expensive to repair) and cold homes during the winter, and loss of air conditioning in the summer. China and India are building new coal fired plants weekly and are increasing their energy use exponentially while we are mandated by these "environmental groups to close ours, when we are making good  progress in reducing our energy consumption. Don't force us to make unrealistic changes in our infrastructure all at one time like that idiot Biden is trying to do, when we can gradually change successfully gradually over time.
