Strongly Oppose SB 656

Parents already have the right to review curriculum material, and to opt out of FLE lessons. This law if passsed would, in its vagueness and posturing, have a chilling effect on our teachers’ ability to talk to older teens. We should be teaching kids that all people and all families are to be respected, not that sex is dirty or shameful. Of course, all discussions should be age appropriate and related to the curriculum being taught. We are open-minded in Virginia and don’t accept religious bigotry being pressed onto others. Oppose this bill.
