Guidance Document Change: The guidance document "Model Policies Concerning Instructional Materials with Sexually Explicit Content" was developed in conjunction with stakeholders in order to comply with SB656 (2022).
The DOE it needs to rework the Model Policies to avoid marginalizing students. The law requires the DOE to issue Model Policies, but it is up to the DOE to decide what goes into the Model Policies. Support all students including LGBTQ+.
