GLI: 11 VAC 5-80-110 Limitations on Player Accounts

Key:   Recommended Modifications and Additional Rule Text    Removals  Movement

Original Section(s)

11 VAC 5-80-110 Limitations on Player Accounts

GLI Recommendations

11 VAC 5-70-290.F

A player may have only one player account for each permit holder.

GLI recommends making new section with 11 VAC 5-70-290.F and 11 VAC 5-80-110.A and 11 VAC 5-80-110.C

GLI also recommends removing “prominently publish” as this is an internal control and commonly markets do not require this to be displayed to the player.

11 VAC 5-80-110.A

  1. A permit holder shall not allow a player to establish more than one username or more than one player account.

11 VAC 5-80-110.C

  1. A permit holder shall implement and prominently publish procedures to terminate all accounts of any player who establishes or seeks to establish more than one username or more than one account, whether directly or by use of another individual as proxy. Such procedures may allow a player who establishes or seeks to establish more than one username or more than one account to retain one account, provided that the permit holder investigates and makes a good faith determination that the player's conduct was not intended to commit fraud or otherwise evade the requirements of this chapter or regulations thereof.
