Banning of Guns in State Owned Buildings

I was at VA Tech in my office when 11 people I knew were gunned down and 5 more were wounded. I personnally talked to several of the survivors. They all told the same story. Having guns with them would have been meaningless. They would have been dead before they could have used them. Armed or unarmed, none of them would have survived if Cho had not been such a bad shot. I fully agree that, except for police or guards, handguns should be banned from all schools, universities, and state owned buildings. The more handgun armed people you have present, the greater the risk of someone being shot. Vigilantes are not the answer.
