After reading over the proposal, it states that "the intended goal of the proposed regulation is to reduce or prevent gun violence in executive branch buildings." Could the state provide examples of where gun violence has been a problem inside executive branch buildings? Could it also provide data that points to these concerns being relevant to concealed carry owners? It doesn't appear that the state has a compelling interest here. I commend Governor McAullife for recent policies that have sought balance gun owner rights with interests in public safety. I am concered that this current policy is seeking solutions where no problems seem to exist.
