The executive branch should not carve out politically-based rules and regulations in derogation of the rights and privileges of our Citizens, in this case the rights of lawful and fully vetted Virginians to self protection, just to accomplish a meaningless political victory. To date, there has not been an incident with a legally permitted person carrying inside of an executive branch office. Let's focus instead on enhanced penalties for those criminals committing crimes with firearms and on those who enable the acquisition of the illegal firearms.
Our state agency employees and patrons still have to travel to the offices, park and return, often in the less safe or well lit of locations. This rule would define them as targets and potential victims.
VIRGINIA PERMIT HOLDERS ARE THE BEST DETERRENT TO VIOLENCE AND CRIMINALITY IN OUR COMMONWEALTH AND SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO CARRY LEGALLY AT ALL TIMES.
