Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Our Legislators need to be voted out when they stop working for the constituents that voted them in office. Yes. They do work for us but have forgotten that with too many years in office.
Who actually is responsible for this push on banning firearms from the law abiding citizens that own concealed weapons permits and have registered guns? Why haven't I heard whether or not the people that shoot up public places and kill had the required weapon permits and registrations? My thoughts were they didn't. What are our legislators thinking? Since law enforcement officials and legislators have no control over illegal people having guns, why then, force the law-abiding citizens to suffer? Because you can? Taking the guns from people who can protect themselves from the crazy illegal shooters is murder. Simple. We're law abiding so we'll do what we are told and be defenseless when someone who could care less about the law starts shooting. Instead of banning guns, why not empower government employees and law abiding citizens that want to learn with classes to protect themselves should a shooter come into a crowded place ready to kill? Advertise that! Education and training would deter any would-be shooter from going into that situation and it just might stop.
As a side note... Didn't Germany force their citizens to register their guns and didn't Hitler use this information to take away those guns and take over Germany? I'm scared. Legislators wise up and listen to what you are actually saying. Our forefathers must have known absolute power corrupts absoloutely and sought to protect us. Leave our rights to bear arms alone. Since you won't serve and protect us, we need to be able to protect ourselves.
