Dear Ma'am/Sir:  I am writing to state my opposition to the Governor's state agency gun ban. This was  a rule made unilaterally with non-existent authority, was not put forth in a public forum, and jeopardizes the ability of the citizenry to defend themselves.  In recent years this nation has witnessed horrible crimes carried out in gun free zones. And in 14 years of practice as an emergency/critical care nurse I have never once taken care of an innocent victim who was injured by a law abiding citizen who was armed; gangs and other criminal elements were responsible.
