Bad people don't bother with concealed carry permits!  CHP holders from other states, even if they jump through fewer hoops than we do here in Virginia, still apply and go through the process.  This action does more damage to the citizens of the Commonwealth under the guise of protection than it helps.  We (CHP holders) are law abiding citizens who follow the rules but it seems a certain element is determined to make us criminals.  As one who travels to Florida on a regular basis and often late into the evenings, having broken down on the side of Rt. #95 for over an hour before help arrived, I know the comfort afforded me knowing that I had protection, God forbid, should the need have arisen.
