An embarrassment to Virginia

Attorney General Herring's recent fiat revoking reciprocity of concealed handgun permits is an embarrasment to anyone who calls himself a Virginian, values liberty, or values their life. As a graduate of Washington and Lee University, and a holder of a permit from a state no longer recognized by Virginia, I find Mr. Herring's distrust of me, and others in similar positions, elitist. CHP holders, statistically, are the most law abiding persons. Endangerment of public safety is not a rational argument for this draconian refusal to recognize the second amendment rights of travelers. It is a shame that Bloomberg money has so quickly and thoroughly corrupted the founding state of this country. May the people correct your folly.
