My Rights and Virginia freedom

Please provide EVIDENCE for your actions in restricting my rights and ending CCW reciprocity

Dear Sir:

As A fellow Virginia who all ready expressed our alike option I will use his words and add some of my own to sum up how I feel about this.

I am writing this to vigorously disagree with and criticize your move to end reciprocity agreements. Before you needlessly take away my rights and the thousands of US citizens, you need to provide IN FULL TRANSPARENT DETAIL, exactly what objections you have with each and EVERY state's CCW requirements. I have read the qualifications for Florida (on the list of ending reciprocity) and their requirements are JUST AS stringent as Virginia, if not more. Finally, please provide EVIDENCE that other state's CCW license holders are causing harm to Virginia residents. Please provide EVIDENCE that Virginia residents are choosing to apply to other states to circumvent Virginia's CCW requirements. Finally, if you have a problem with another state's CCW requirements, why not request that these concerns be addressed in that state? Why not HELP your own state's citizens keep their reciprocity with other states?

Additionally how does reducing my right to carry a weapon as a licensed CCW holder make those places safer?  These terrible incidents happen in gun free zones not places where a armed citizen may be.  So by disarming the people how does it make it safer for us?  You have a security detail but I'm my own.

As a US Veteran I did not serve and uphold the constitution for someone to just curtail my rights due to political affiliations or own personnel gains.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Peter Verdeschi
