Why deny Virginia citizens right to self-defense?

The Second Ammendment gives me the right to bear arms. I am not a criminal. I am a law abiding citizen & the reason I have a gun is because my life has been directly threatened. I have it on audio recording if you'd like to hear it. This man specifically states he will kick in my door, beat me up, and kidnap me to Arkansas. How am I supposed to protect myself from this man who has attacked me before and threatens to attack me again if YOU, someone who has no idea the violent attacks I've already been subjected to by this man takes away my right to protect myself when he makes good on his threat? I have faith in our police department but lets be perfectly honest, the police can't be everywhere at once and sometimes, they just can't get to you in time. I don't want to be another murder statistic. I have a seventeen-year-old son who I want to see get married, go to college, and perhaps one day, spoil some grandchildren. Please, do not take away my Second Ammendment rights.

Sincerely,

Laura Eggleston
