Is this ban supposed to stop a criminal from committing a crime with a gun? All this does is create an opportunity for a criminal to do bad things to good, honest, law abiding citizens with families. It does nothing to protect the unarmed, helpless and innocent citizen of Virginia. In fact, this legislation puts helpless, innocent and law abiding Virginians at the mercy of controlling and dangerous people that purposefully target "soft" areas where the most damage can be had...in gun free zones. So, please explain to me logically HOW this ban will stop a criminal from committing violent acts with a gun??? We all would like to know.
