I am opposed to changing the decision made in June to accept expired photo IDs as valid identification at the polls in November. This decision was the right one to make. Many of our most loyal voters are senior citizens who are no longer driving, or no longer in the military but they should be able to use a driver's license or a military ID as sufficient for establishing their identification at the polls. Those same voters will find it difficult to get some other form of ID as they may no longer be driving or may not be able to get to where photo IDs are being made. Please do not penalize our seniors and don't make it more difficult this year for anyone to vote. A picture is a picture and should be sufficient whether current or expired.
