There is no better person to care for a consumer than their own parent. Please do not take this invaluable resource away from Medicaid consumers. Parents will inevitably be fired from their positions, which will impact the finances in the home and present greater needs in the home that cannot be met. Caregivers will be needed to replace parents that do not have the historical and emotional needs available to the consumer. The very reason for this opportunity supports family life as much as fighting abortion and the sanctity of marriage between a man and a women.
