RGGI - Well Intended but Poorly Executed

I'm disappointed in some comments from my fellow Virginias. The RGGI is not providing the benefits as it was laid out to do and instead, it a mechanism for energy companies to pass on higher costs to consumers. Yes, Dominion and others have to buy carbon credits to offset their emissions but where do people think those costs are going? Straight out of the consumers pocket. There are better ways to combat climate change, we all need to take care of this planet while we are on it. However, the RGGI fails to deliver on promises and is a poor attempt from the previous administration to make it seem like they were taking substantive action. Climate experts themselves have admitted there is no evidence yet that the policies enacted by joining RGGI have any positive effects.
