The regulation sets forth guidelines governing the Auxiliary Grant Program. The regulation covers the following topics: use of the uniform assessment instrument for applicants of adult care residences prior to payment from the Auxiliary Grant Program and for residents as a condition of continued Auxiliary Grant eligibility; basic services covered by the Auxiliary Grant; services and items covered by the personal needs allowance; factors used in establishing the Auxiliary Grant rate; and reimbursement procedures.

Goals of Regulation |
The regulation ensures that, through use of the uniform assessment instrument, applicants to and residents of adult care residences are appropriately placed in such residences. It ensures that, at a minimum, Auxiliary Grant funds are used for basic essential services and items needed by recipients and at a rate based on an established methodology.
