I am strongly opposed to DA II scaling teeth. This is a threat to dental hygienists, meaning I might be wasting my time in Dental Hygiene School.  I believe it is CRAZY that it was even considered since they will have no training or a degree.  There is so much to know about scaling, it's not just scraping a tooth with an sharp instrument.  I believe patients aren't going to be very happy about this proposal either.
