To amend 18VAC110-20-275(B)(2)(d) to read:

d. The procedure for identiying on the prescription label a unique identifier for all pharmacies involved in filling and dispensing the prescription.  This unique identifier is not required to identify a pharmacy solely involved in the holding of a prescription for pick-up or further delivery when that pharmacy has not shared in other filling or dispensing functions;

 
Agency's Plan

In accordance with Virginia law, the petition has been filed with the Register of Regulations and will be published on October 30, 2017.  Comment on the petition may be sent by email, regular mail or posted on the Virginia Regulatory Townhall at www.townhall.virginia.gov; comment will be requested until November 22, 2017.

Following receipt of all comments on the petition to amend regulations, the Board will decide whether to make any changes to the regulatory language in Regulations Governing the Practice of Pharmacy.  This matter will be on the Board’s agenda for its meeting scheduled for December 11, 2017.
