Purpose of legislation
Item 292, Chapter 2 of the 2018 Acts of Assembly, Special Session I (The 2018 Appropriation Act) required VDH to begin charging for certain onsite sewage system services previously provided at no cost to the applicant. These additional fees have remained in all subsequent Appropriation Acts. The budget items are as follows: 2020(302 of Chapter 1289), 2022 (294 of Chapter 2, 2022 Acts of Assembly Special Session I).
