the regulations require that students have reached their fourth year before they can begin supervise

I could not agree more with the current regulation that requires The State of Virginia's Vet. Students to wait until their fourth year, to begin supervised hands-on practice. I could only see the deaths and unnecessary injuries and pain from letting not ready for hands-on practice, let alone unsupervised. I have a degree in education, which does not ever put students in physical risk, yet I was never allowed to do unsupervised hands-on practice; yes, I was only allowed to do surpervised hands-on internships, after my first year.

Obviously, to anyone who does not profit from this proposal or risks reputation from being exposed as not educating The Vet. graduates well enough so that they are ready to be Vets. after plently opporunities for supervised hands-on practice in 4th-year. would agree.
