I strongly support the amendment!

I strongly support this amendment.  Parents are the first educators of their children and are responsible for the moral and character education of their children.  They should be made aware when their children will be introduced to material and topics that contain graphic depictions of sexual acts, violence and abuse so that they can help frame these issues for their children and answer questions their children may have.  Many children may be reluctant to mention to their parents that they encountered these issues in the classroom, and may have questions that they therefore do not ask.  This is not about censorship.  Rather, it is an opportunity for parents and educators to work together to strengthen the character and moral fabric of our society.  By informing parents when such difficult issues will be presented in the classroom, parents and educators can work together to educate children about some of societies most difficult problems.
