I can not stress enough the negative impact this amendment will have on our students. While I do not want my daughter reading inappropriate material, I TRUST our educators to make the decisions. They are entrusted with our students' education for a reason, and it is a terrible injustice to them and our children to pass this amendment.
I am afraid this state is moving toward complete literary censorship, a concept I thought only existed in books....GOOD books that our children need to read in order to be informed, educated members of our society.
It is on OUR shoulders to continue the discussion at home, as a parents. Do NOT hinder our students' education by passing this ridiculous amendment.
