We cannot hide students from the real world and expect students to be educated. Real life is made up of controversial issues. How would sheltering students from the real world help them to adapt, survive, or overcome issues? Students need to be able to discuss differences in thought. That is learning. Don't we have wars and people murdering eachother over the inability to discuss and deal with differences?
