Teaching of sexually explicit literature w/o parental consent

I believe our school board should not allow any teacher to use literature of this kind to be used in teaching our public school children/youth. I do not believe this teaches character or helps them through life. I am not naive enough to believe the school boards will stop the teachers from using this kind of teaching. At least the parents should be notified so they can opt-out their children. I was given this opportunity in the past and was able to make a better informed decision going forward for the training of my child. God gave the parents the job to raise their children. School boards and teachers should work with parents to assist in this training, not tear it down or leave the parents out of the loop.
