Revise this amendment or reject it

Firstly, the language of the amendment is not specific enough. What is sensitive material? Who is going to determine that? The terms are too vague for practicality.

Secondly, common sense solves this problem with a simple letter home informing parents that, as students progress in their education, the content will mature as well. Discussions at home are advised.

Thirdly, with most districts in which I have worked, parents have always had the option to protest a reading selection and ask for an alternative assignment. There is no need for formal government involvement in an occasional issue that is solved easily on a school-level between a teacher and a parent.
