Pass Opt-Out!

PASS THIS! I constantly hear teachers state that parents are not involved enough with their children's education. Well?! When you exclude parents from participating in the process by not informing them and by not encouraging them to get involved, then don't expect us to fully trust decisions made behind the scenes. Many of those decisions made behind the scenes regarding content/context are made by bureaucrats and very little weight is given to teachers and parents opinions. I am watching the changing of our curriculum and "standards" through the creepying implementation of Common Core, as well have noticed a signifigant loss of engagment in the Sciences and reading of Classical Literature, and it is disheartening to say the least. PASS THIS! KEEP PARENTS INVOLVED.

We have an Opt-Out clause for Family Life Education (FLE). This is no different when dealing with sensitive and/or controversial material(s). Pass this!
