Action | Amendments Regarding Use of Controversial or Sensitive Instructional Materials |

Please reject this proposal. First, teachers are already under more pressure than ever, morale is at an all-time low, and the list of job duties keeps expanding. Second, defining "sensitive" or "controversial" in a way that we can all agree upon would be near impossible. An ill-defined parameter would create an ill-defined law. Finally, contacting home is not as simple as one might think. Not all parents have email, or, if they have it, don't access it regularly. The logistics of home contact would be burdonsome.
