My response is simple.  If a parent finds materials in the public setting objectionable, then he or she should elect to enroll his or her child in private school.  Our curriculums are chosen by professional educators who choose titles based on their literary merit and their opportunity for discussion and learning.  Once we start regulating  anything that can be "sensitive", then we will be watering down the curriculum.  It should not be a teacher's job to inform parents wheat could be objectionable.  Parents are free to read every selection on the curriculum to decide for themselves.  The onus should be on the parents, not the teachers.  I
