I have an employee who lives in an Oxford house in Richmond Virginia. Every day she talks about the service she puts in, the camaraderie of the women in the home, and to see her thrive the way she has she owes to the operation of Oxford House. Oxford House MUST remain self governing and self supporting. The results speak for themselves. I support rules that keep people safe, but rules that require staff or assume every home is a commercial business would keep Oxford Houses from operating in Virginia, even though research shows our model gets the best results. Please change those rules, and please clarify whether house members are considered the operator.
