My name is Lauren. I live in Oxford Chesapeake. I hold the position as president in my house. I think that things should stay as is because it holds myself and I’m sure a lot of others in recovery in Oxford accountable for their actions. Bringing in staff in my opinion just defeats the purpose of the “independent living” that Oxford house stands for. I’ve never really lived on my own, or even paid bills until I moved into Oxford. Learning how to manage all the bills with other grown women is helping me grow as an individual. My goal is to one day move from out of Oxford and hopefully manage to get my own place. I know for a fact that a lot of people that are in recovery depend on Oxford, changing the rules could cause a hinder in their recovery. I’m just asking for you all to please just keep things the way that have been running for the last 51 years.
