To permit individuals to become registered as qualified mental health providers based solely on experience rather than college or graduate education.

The petition for rulemaking will be published in the Virginia Register of Regulations on July 4, 2022. The petition will also be published on the Virginia Regulatory Town Hall at www.townhall.virginia.gov. The Board will request public comment from July 4, 2022 to August 3, 2022.

The Board will consider the petition at the next meeting scheduled after the close of the comment period. Currently, the Board\'s next meeting after the comment period closes is schedules for September 16, 2022.
