The current proposals involving transgender students flies in the face of common sense and totally ignores the rights of the students who identify with their God given gender. To allow students to whimsically select which gender they relate to, and then to use bathroom facilities, locker rooms, and (not mentioned yet but it's coming ... to allow those same individuals the opportunity to athletically compete against their opposite sex) clearly tips the scale of justice in the favor of the transgender student and ignores the rights and interests of the straight student.
As an administrator in a public school environment, the logistical nightmare of adhering to these self-interest proposals is insurmountable. Since when are educators evaluated on the merits of their transgender sensitivities? Students in today's academic climate have a difficult time meeting the state standards imposed by the Standards of Learning (which is another matter all unto itself). Just check out the results of the English 11 EOC Writing scores over the last several years! Write persuasively the VDOE commands, and now you want to impose politically correct "pronouns" to the confusion? Students today have a hard enough time writing a complete sentence which is grammatically correct and free from spelling, syntax, subject-verb agreement, and capitalization errors ... and now the VDOE wants to impose yet another layer on top of those expectations and punish those who just can't seem to remember the correct pronoun to use now (teachers and students alike)!
Stop the madness. Stop catering the very narrow minded special interests and start looking out for the good of the general public, students, administrators, and teachers in the school systems. Use common sense and vote "No!" We have bigger fish to fry!
