As an educator, I believe that our behaviour is the best example we can give our students. If they see we respect them, as they are, in turn, we can guide them to respect each other. They are also entitled to grow and figure out who they are and who they want to be in a hospitable atmosphere, within a tolerant spirit in their community.
They shouldn't fear mockery or isolation for being honest about themselves, so working together, as a community, to provide everybody with the necessary tools for understanting and inclusion is a goal to achieve. I cellebrate that the government takes a step forward in such matters by passing a law. It's the first step towards equality in society, that takes time, but hopefully, we can walk together to it.
