Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

not science

This neglects basic biology.  "Gender" is a term used in language studies to make adjectives, verbs, adverbs, nouns and pronouns agree.  It is NOT a term to describe the sex of an individual, which is determined by the DNA in the nucleus of every cell in the human body.  No amount of chemical or surgical mutilation of the body can alter that.  It is superfluous to assume that anyone can choose their sex, male or female.  It is also damaging to lie to a human of any age that they can "choose" their sex.

In addition, the two-pronged goal of Marxism is 1. Destroy the family unit. 2. Abolish private property.  This document falls under #1.

Therefore, it should be dismissed and rejected.

A person who is really confused(not faking it) by some feelings about their sex should be offered truthful, compassionate counseling about their situation.  "Fakers", so they can compete in athletic games against members of the opposite sex, should be told to compete against members of their own sex, period.

Furthermore, this document displays an astounding lack of knowledge and understanding of human nature, of the sciences of biology, genetics, sociology, and psychology.  There is nothing good in any of these recommendations.  That it is even being considered is embarrassing to everyone with the slightest bit of humanity, intelligence, and rational thought.

Reject it, reject it, reject it.
