This policy does not protect the rights of ALL children.
While intended to protect privacy and dignity of those that do not consider themselves Male or Female according to their birth sex, it forgets to protect the privacy of those that do consider themselves Male or Female. How is the school going to protect the right of privacy and dignity of a girl when someone with male genitalia enters the locker, shower or restroom pretending to consider themselves a female?
How is the school going to protect the cisgenders from emotional harm and depression when they constantly have to avoid entering lockers, showers, restrooms because of fear that someone believing to be the gender different from their biological sex?
Parents have the duty to protect and educate their children and not the Dept of Education or the State or the Governor or the School board. The parents should be the only ones that make all decisions for their children.
If you want to protect and not discriminate against religious views of the children, then you have to allow them to keep their believes even when they do not believe that genders are fluid. No bulling or harassment should be allowed from neither part.
While we have to protect all children, do not discriminate one group for the benefits of the other.
