Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

YOU'VE LOST YOUR SANITY / OUR KIDS GET DAMAGED

If you implement any of this completely illogical, inappropriate, and confusing social experimentation in our tax-funded schools, you and you alone will be liable for the irreparable damage you will cause our children.  There are multiple layers to how absolutely foolish and irresponsible this politically correct garbage, but here's a few:

  1. Our kids' international competitiveness in the basics; (math/science, reading/writing and classical education) continues to decline annually, and this is DIRECTLY proportional to the # of new social experiment stuff you've increasingly introduced at the expense of actual EDUCATION-focused initiatives.  STOP and get back to the basics... this is what we're paying you for!!
  2. PARENTS and families OWN the responsibilities of dealing with the complicated subjects of sexuality and identity.  Schools can offer advice/mentoring WHEN SOLICITED, but otherwise need to STAY out of this business pushing agendas that don't align with the majority of tax payers.  Even if it did, this is NOT YOUR ROLE.
  3. Kids have dealt w/ identity questions for millennia.  Instead of leaving these issues to parents where they belong, or offering good guidance on the sex that NATURE made them, you are injecting absolute confusion when you entertain the prospect of the foolish deception of 'transgenderism'.  Step back for a minute.. do you realize how utterly ridiculous this is??  We were created with beautiful, glorious identities and natures, that have always needed a little coaching from moms, dads and sane adults.  Instead, you are injecting CONFUSION to impressionable kids that can only lead them down a path of further confusion, depression, and hopelessness.  YOU will be responsible and held accountable by our community and by God.. if you have any regard for Him and His creation?  If so- basic sanity check- He has never mistakenly made a man a woman, or a woman a man.
  4. DROP THIS TOPIC, STOP WASTING OUR TAX DOLLARS, AND FOCUS ON EDUCATION... the basics that continue to experience decline.
