Do not do away with post mark requirements on absentee ballot envelops. If there is an illegible or missing post mark, the ballot should discarded and not counted. All absentee ballot envelopes should be post marked by by 7:00 PM on election day when the poles close. You cannot vote in person after that time. A ballot without a valid post mark could be posted any time after that under the proposal and still be counted if it arrived by Friday. This is illegal and should be prohibited. The current laws on voting should be obeyed by all personnel processing the ballots.
