I oppose the ban!

I have been a citizen of the united states for fifty years of which a resident and a law abiding citizen of the great state of Virginia for almost two decades, and not once in that time had I seen such an egregious move to usurp the citizens of their god given right to the second amendment as well as the right to protect themselves.

There had been no reason other than political motivations by the governor to oppress the free law abiding citizens their very right to bear arms. This move to enact a law without cause or reason is beyond comprehension and shows how out of touch and politically jaded the present governor and the administration is with the very citizenry they are supposed to represent.

I sincerely believe that if there was cause for such action then that would be another story or perhaps an open debate, however, it appears to be above the reasoning of this governor or his minions to engage in dialog and far easier to dictate or decree such as the very folks we broke with when we left the bosom of the king of England so as to create the nation we have and the rights we have and cherish today.

In conclusion I am against this proposal and the tyranny of a politically motivated governor who puts self-interests in front of his fellow citizens safety and rights
