I dont understand the reason for restricting our rights. We have not had issues with past possession of a legal firearm in state agencies. As citizens we are subject to the same threats going into state agencies as any other location. In some cases maybe even more since often we carry money to pay dues and fees while on state property. My biggest concern is with having to leave a firearm inside the car while I walk to and from these locations. It leaves the firearm exposed to theft that could be arming a dangerous person and the loss of expensive property on our side. We all know the gun free zones are the most likely places to be harmed. All a criminal needs to do is stand near a DMV, ABC store or any know state agency and know that they will have no resistance. Its time we trust our citizens.
