Strongly opposed to this ban

I strongly oppose the state agency gun ban. The reason for the ban appears to be based purely on the current administrations vitriol towards the pro-gun general assembly and the state democrats (of which I am one) inability to get their version of gun controls through the legislature. In response to the common addage "we don't need more gun laws, we need to enforce the ones we have" Gov McAullif and Dr. Northam responded with "ok, we'll create our own gun laws." The CHP recipriocity debacle, later smoothed out, and the state agency gun ban proposed here, were their vehicle for sticking it to gun owners similar to a child taking his ball and going home.

To our current administration I would like to remind you that there are many pro-second amendment Democrats in this state and Bloomberg funded attacks on the second amendment are not welcome here. The second amendment is as much a civil liberty as the other amedments to our constitution and you should fight for all civil liberties not just cherry pick the ones that feel good to you.
