I believe that anytime we can ban guns from places where they do not traditionally belong we are doing a good thing. I don't mind guns in the field for hunting, or at the gun range for target practice, or if you want to keep one in your home for protection. However, I want to be able to freely conduct my business in public places without the fear that someone with a gun, usually ill trained or with no training, will accidentally fire his weapon or take it upon himself to enforce the law. I believe in trained law enforcement professionals carrying guns, and even they make mistakes sometimes.
